Branch Mandating Meeting
for Conference 2011 -
The Branch Mandating
Meeting for this year's annual conference will take place at Dewsbury Road
Social Club on Wed 18th May at 7.30pm.
Annual
Conference is where union policy is made and this year will take place between
22nd and 26th May. Motions to the conferences cover a huge range of subjects.
They could be specific to employers such as BT, O2, Manpower, Virgin Media etc.
or on national and international issues such as public spending cuts or links
with trade unions in other countries.
At this
meeting Branch members can discuss and debate motions and also mandate the
branch delegates to vote a particular way on specific motions put to this year's
conferences.
It is
vital that the delegates attending conference on your behalf know the views of
the members they are representing.
Motions
can be seen in advance on the conference agendas at
www.cwu.org or you can request a copy from the Branch.
Refreshments will be provided.
